2026 P.S.8 April Spirit and Earth Week

Get ready to celebrate both school spirit and environmental awareness during P.S. 8’s April Spirit & Earth Week! This exciting week is designed to bring our school community together while highlighting the importance of caring for our planet in fun and meaningful ways.

Each day features a unique theme connected to spring and sustainability. On Monday, “Spring Energy,” students can wear yellow to represent the brightness and new beginnings of the season. Tuesday’s “April Showers” encourages wearing blue to symbolize the rain that helps flowers bloom. On Wednesday, “Go Green Day,” we celebrate Earth Day by wearing green and showing our appreciation for the environment. Thursday’s “Recycle in Red” invites students to wear red or something made from recycled or thrifted materials, promoting the importance of reducing waste and reusing items. The week concludes on Friday with National Arbor Day, where students wear brown to honor trees and recognize their vital role in our ecosystem.

In addition to dressing up, students are encouraged to take simple, impactful actions throughout the week, such as walking to school, using reusable bags and water bottles, recycling, picking up litter, and planting flowers or trees. These small steps help build lifelong habits that protect our environment and strengthen our community.

We look forward to seeing everyone participate, show their creativity, and work together to make a positive difference for our Earth! 🌱
